The H. Drive S Spec coilovers are the ideal choice for drivers seeking a versatile suspension system. Perfectly suited for both spirited road driving and occasional track use, the S Spec delivers a seamless balance of comfort and performance. Designed specifically for Japanese vehicles, it’s the ultimate solution for enhancing driving dynamics without compromising everyday usability.
- Supplied Spring Rates may differ from advertised
- Please note that not all vehicles use camber plates in the front and/or rear. Some vehicles reuse OEM upper mounts.
- The vehicle ride height can be lowered 25mm to 95mm
- The H. Drive coilovers feature a high performance monotube damping system. Due to its enlarged valve and integration of gas and oil within a single chamber, a slight noise may occur when driving slowly over rough terrain, indicating normal damper operation.
Damping Adjustability
The individually adjustable rebound stage damping ensures a better connection on fast road sections and an easier vehicle control. The driving comfort on poor road surfaces can significantly be influenced with a customized rebound stage damping. With 30 levels of damping adjustability, the user can fine tune the shock absorber’s compression damping characteristics by adjusting the front and rear damping to suit your preferred driving style. These settings can range from softer (less damping force) to firmer (more damping force).

Ride Height Adjustability
For the H. Drive S Spec Coilovers, the ride height adjustment is controlled by the position of the coilover’s bottom mount, which can be moved up or down along the damper body. This innovative design offers a broad range of height adjustments without altering the spring’s preload. Since the ride height is set by the adjustable bottom mount, rather than the spring platform, the S Spec coilovers retain full damper travel across all height settings. This means that regardless of the ride height chosen, you can maintain optimal damper travel for a smoother, more controlled ride, especially beneficial for both street and track applications.

Camber Adjustability
For S Spec coilovers, models that support camber adjustment come with camber adjustable aluminum pillowball top mounts as standard. These mounts are high quality that enables precise adjustments, allowing you to fine tune the camber angle for street or track applications. This flexibility offers enhanced control and handling, helping you achieve the exact alignment specifications needed for various driving styles and conditions.

Large 50mm Piston
Engineered with a 50mm piston in certain models, the S Spec coilovers maximize shock absorption through increased fluid capacity. The larger piston surface area enhances the coilover damping efficiency, improving handling under high loads and during intense driving scenarios. This design minimizes heat buildup, helping to prevent performance fade over time. The result is consistent, stable control and a smooth transition from street driving to track conditions.

Forged Aluminum Upper Mounts & Sheets
Select models of H. Drive S Spec coilovers come with aluminum upper mounts, reducing overall weight and enhancing suspension response. The aluminum components contribute to better handling and improved cornering performance. The high grade aluminum also resists environmental wear, supporting durability and extended lifespan. The forged aluminum sheets revolve around their strength, lightweight nature, heat dissipation properties, corrosion resistance, and the ability to customize the suspension system for optimal performance. This construction offers a superior strength to weight ratio, essential for maintaining control without compromising durability.

Corrosion Resistance
S Spec coilovers are built to withstand all environments, while key steel components undergo a powder coating process. The black anodized coating on the coilovers provides exceptional corrosion resistance, crucial for durability in varied weather conditions. This advanced coating shields the aluminum components from moisture and road salt, extending their lifespan. This advanced protection ensures that the coilovers retain their premium look and peak performance, even through harsh winters and tough environments.

Coil Springs
Each S Spec coilover is built from top grade materials, the high strength spring is made of SAE9254 chrome silicon steel. Each vehicle is specifically adjusted in the respective suspension damper in its spring rate for long life; it is multi coated. These springs are tested for over 500,000 cycles with less than 5% deformation

Premium Quality Oil
The S Spec coilovers utilize specially formulated damper oil that remains stable and effective across a wide temperature range, from daily street use to high performance track demands. This premium oil minimizes viscosity changes under extreme heat or cold, which ensures that the damping force remains consistent in all conditions. This stability not only enhances the predictability of handling but also helps extend the longevity of the dampers, as the oil’s resistance to thermal breakdown means less frequent servicing and reliable performance.

Nitrogen Pressurized Dampers
The S Spec coilovers are designed with nitrogen pressurization to improve the performance and reliability of the dampers. The nitrogen pressure helps to reduce oil aeration, which can occur during rapid damper movements, particularly in aggressive driving or on uneven surfaces. By minimizing the formation of air bubbles, nitrogen pressurization maintains a more consistent damping force and enhances stability. This feature provides added resilience in demanding conditions.

Spring Rate
At H. Drive Motorsport, we understand the importance of spring rates in delivering the perfect balance of comfort and performance. Our S Spec coilovers are carefully tested and calibrated to provide optimal spring rates for both road and track use, ensuring that every drive is smooth yet responsive. Whether you’re commuting on the street or pushing the limits on the track, our springs are designed to handle it all. However, we also recognize that every enthusiast’s needs are unique. For those seeking a more aggressive setup, we offer the option to customize the spring rate, allowing you to tailor your suspension to your specific driving style and performance goals.
